A well-structured curriculum is essential because it provides a clear roadmap for both educators and students, ensuring learning objectives are achieved effectively. Our hands-on training and targeted lessons are intentionally designed to prepare you to confidently enter the workforce upon graduation.

Students are introduced to their grooming tools and essential salon practices. This module covers safety, dog behavior, handling, basic health awareness, and canine anatomy. Hands-on training focuses on prep work, including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, along with an introduction to clipper work such as paw pads, sanitary trims, and full-body clipping.

This module introduces scissoring techniques and face trims while bringing all grooming components together. Students learn to develop a consistent grooming routine used on most clients, with an emphasis on balance, structure, and common pet trim styles.

Students learn breed standard trims through lessons, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Covered breeds include poodles, bichons, terriers, and spaniels. This module also introduces client communication, check-in procedures, and professional salon flow.

The final module focuses on refining skills through continued practice. Advanced scissoring techniques and finishing details are emphasized to help students produce polished, professional grooms and confidently prepare for graduation.
